Different Gifts. Different Talents. One Team. — Our 2026 HC Angels

April 8, 2026

Different gifts. Different talents. All coming together as one team.

This is a group of young men who show up for each other and for something bigger than themselves.

Proud of each and every one. Honored to be part of this journey. Blessed to call them HC Angels.

Every baseball team is made up of individuals, each with their own strengths, personalities, abilities, and experiences. Some bring years of experience to the field, while others are still learning and growing. Some lead with their voices, while others lead through their actions. And each one has something valuable to contribute.

That’s one of the things I love about our 2026 HC Angels. These young men don’t all have the same talents or play the same roles, but they are learning to bring what they have to the team and work together toward a common goal.

Meet Our 2026 HC Angels

Years from now, I hope this photograph brings back wonderful memories for these young men and their families. The practices, the games, the road trips, the friendships, the hard work, and all those little moments that become part of a season together.

I also want to make sure we preserve their names, because every one of these young men is part of HC Baseball’s story. Each one matters, and each one has helped make this team what it is.

Different Talents, One Purpose

Baseball is a team sport, but it takes more than simply wearing the same uniform to become a team. It takes trust, effort, encouragement, accountability, and a willingness to put something bigger than yourself first.

There are days when things come easily and days when nothing seems to go right. There are victories to celebrate and disappointments to work through. There are opportunities to lead, opportunities to learn, and moments when being a good teammate matters far more than anything that happens on the scoreboard.

I hope each of these young men understands how important he is to this team. Not because of a batting average, a position, or the number on the back of his jersey, but because he has something to contribute that no one else can bring in quite the same way.

Building HERITAGE Together

Coach Clay believed that baseball was an opportunity to help young men grow, not only as athletes, but as people. He wanted them to work hard, play hard, compete with integrity, respect one another, and understand what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves.

Those values continue to guide HC Baseball today. Honor, effort, respect, integrity, trust, accountability, growth, and excellence are more than words to us. They are the standards we want our Angels to carry with them, on the field and throughout their lives.

Every season brings a different group of young men, each with their own personalities, strengths, challenges, and dreams. But the heart of HC Baseball remains the same. We want every Angel to know that he belongs, that his contributions matter, and that he has the opportunity to leave something good behind for those who come after him.

Proud to Call Them Angels

I look at this photograph and see so much more than a baseball team. I see young men who have put in hours of work, encouraged one another, shared experiences, and made memories together. I see individuals with different talents and gifts, learning what it means to come together as one.

I am grateful for our coaches, for the families who support these boys, and for every player who has chosen to be part of HC Baseball. Each season becomes another chapter in the history we are building, and each Angel helps write that story.

To our 2026 HC Angels, I hope you always remember that you are valued for far more than what you accomplish on a baseball field. I am proud of each and every one of you, honored to be part of this journey, and blessed to call you HC Angels.
